Keynote lecture – Jon Clarkson

I very much enjoyed Jon Clarkson’s lecture. I was able to relate to many of his examples and references due to my love for perspective and obscure angles. On the other hand I did become lost and unsure about some of the points he was trying to make. Thinking abstractly about view points, he questioned the different ways an image can be seen or perceived. He described this as a non-human view point.

Referencing a range of sources he compared photographs, painting, montages, graphic work and digital media.

More than one view point :

– Clive head, Rebekah 2008

– Franz Ackermann

Non human view point

– Terese Oulton

– Andreas Gefeller

– Hiroshi Sugimoto
